CANON EF 70-200mm f/2.8 IS SAMPLE IMAGE GALLERY
Blown Out Backgrounds
In this Sample Photo, the subject is a Black Lab against Grass and light green shrubbery.
My trustworthy EF70-200L never fails me. The otherwise horrible background turned into pure butter and the separation provided exactly what the client wanted.
I shot all of my kids portraits with this lens when they were teen and preteen age, with my 1DSMKII, blew them up to 3x4 feet and they looked just as tight and colorful as the RAW.
I am sure that a true scientific test might show this lens to be inferior to my new RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS, but short of that I doubt there's much of a difference.
EF 70-200mm F/2.8L (Ver 1), 200mm, EOS 5D MKIV, F/2.8, ISO 800 1/1250 Sec.
Sharp Detail
Note the fine detail rendered by this lens - which was built in the days of 8mp to 16mp SLR's. It has been my go to lens for about 18 years. If you are taking portraits outside, or doing intermediate to close work with moving subjects, this classic will bring home the prize image you want.
Normal to Telephoto
Like all zoom lenses this lens allows you to change perspective on a subject almost immediately, from the same vantage point. Note these four photos, all shot in rapid succession from the vantage point while Seyla remained at the same subject location, yet each rendering a different visual persective.
