CANON FD 300MM f/2.8L SAMPLE IMAGES

EXTREME IMAGE QUALITY

This Hummingbird sequence was taken with the FD 300mm f/2.8L the very first time I used it. The sequence here demonstrates the optical quality of this 40+ year old manual focus lens., at high ISO in early morning light.

DETAILS MATTER

The level of detail captured in this sequence is amazing - these images were taken on my R5 at full jpg setting. Even a 48mp sensor takes a great photo with this lens - which is old enough to be it's grandfather!

MANUAL FOCUS

Focusing skills have evolved into how well a modern photographer can control the multitude of automatic focus settings in-camera.

However, manual focus lenses do have the advantage of never being mis-switched or having an autofocus setting incorrectly set. You're either focused correctly or not!!!
